Mumbai, July 26: Following the heavy monsoon showers, a part of a wall on the second floor of Khakhar Building collapsed in Mumbai. The incident took place on Friday evening. Till the time this report was published, no injuries or casualties were reported in the incident. The building collapse and infrastructure failure have become a common scenario in the Maximum city, especially during monsoons. Earlier this month, a building collapsed in Dongri claiming lives of 13 people and injuring nine others. The ground-plus-four-storey building collapsed on July 16. The ill-fated structure was illegally constructed around 30 years ago. On July 2, wall collapse at Pimpripada in Malad killed 26 people. The incident took place at 2 am when the compound wall in Pimpripada collapsed and people living in the adjacent to the wall were trapped inside the debris. Over 70 injured were admitted to government hospitals. Later, the BMC set-up a team to investigate the matter.
