Mumbai, October 10: Two men have been accused of circulating a private video of a 22-year-old man and his partner captured on a CCTV camera. The footage, recorded in a room where the couple, both jewellery shop employees, stayed, was shared in a social media group without their consent. Following the incident, LT Marg police took swift action, arresting the individuals responsible for the privacy breach.

According to a report by the Times of India, the accused had access to the CCTV password. The accused happens to be a relative of the victim.  The complainant lodged a formal complaint with the LT Marg police, alleging a serious invasion of his privacy. According to the FIR, the complainant stated that CCTV footage capturing him and his partner in an intimate moment was unlawfully circulated in a social media group. Mumbai: Man Gets 2 Years Rigorous Imprisonment for Holding Minor Girl’s Hand, Saying ‘I Love You’.

Both suspects were taken into custody for their involvement in the unauthorized sharing of the CCTV footage, which showed the complainant and his partner in a compromising situation.
