Mumbai, September 6: A 28-year-old man named Dilip Raut was apprehended by Mumbai police on Tuesday, September 5, in connection with a bomb hoax call made to the Mumbai police control room. The motive behind this alarming act was to retaliate against a sex worker in the infamous Kamathipura area who had allegedly taken money from him and subsequently ejected him from her residence.

According to multiple reports, Raut's disturbing call to the police occurred around 10 pm on Monday, September 4, where he falsely reported the presence of a bomb in the 12th lane of Kamathipura. When police officials attempted to gather more information, Raut abruptly terminated the call and refused to answer subsequent calls. Upon receiving the report, Nagpada police swiftly responded, thoroughly inspecting the entirety of the 12th lane. However, no explosive device was found, leading them to suspect the call was a hoax.
