Mumbai, June 17: In a shocking case, a suspected low intensity Improvised explosive device (IED) was found near Sudhagad English School in Navi Mumbai's Kalamboli. Police was alerted after an onlooker found the suspected explosive with an electric wire attached near the school, police said. On information, Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad arrived at the spot and diffused the low-intensity IED.
"The Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad and the Dog Squad has arrived at the site. It seems like a low-intensity IED. Work on examining and defusing it is underway at a vacant spot close to where it was found," Police said. Earlier, a bomb-like object created panic among people in Gorai area of Mumbai suburb Borivali. On Reaching the spot, police investigated the potential bomb and later declared it a toy bomb. The suspicious item was first spotted by a woman who informed it to police. The Borivali police arrived at the spot and took possession of the item and declared it safe.
