Mumbai, July 16: In a disturbing turn of events in Shivaji Nagar, Mumbai, a 32-year-old woman allegedly assaulted her nine-year-old daughter after discovering she had wet the bed. Reports detail a disturbing sequence where Khan purportedly beat the child and then inflicted burns on her private parts and thighs.  The distressing cries of the young victim alerted concerned neighbours, who swiftly alerted authorities, leading to the woman's arrest.

According to the Times of India report, the incident unfolded on the night of July 14 when the accused, identified as Kohinorkhatoon Khan, discovered that her daughter had wet the bed. What followed was the grim consequences of the child's unintentional mistake. The child's screams alerted their neighbours, who attempted to intervene and stop Kohinorkhatoon, who resorted to verbally abusing them. Subsequently, the neighbours called the police for help, as reported by the Times of India. Kohinorkhatoon was arrested following the intervention, with charges filed against her under sections 115(2), 118(1), and 352 of the BNS for causing hurt and provoking breach of peace.
