Mumbai, October 17:  In a horrific incident, a man identified as Aaman Bansode allegedly assaulted and molested a woman while she was feeding stray dogs near her house at Borivali in Mumbai. The accused purportedly groped her, pulled her hair and also hit her family when they intervened. The incident was reported on Monday, October 16 and was recorded by some witnesses.

Following the incident, the family lodged a complaint in police station. As per the complaint reported by Times of India, the accused slapped the girl's mother and beat up her parents and brother with a bamboo stick. The complainant also claimed of receiving rape threats from the group of men. According to reports, the woman, being an animal lover, used to feed the stray dogs every day after dinner between 10:30 pm to 11 pm. She noticed that a group of young men perched on the wall of the Sagari police chowky would taunt her, but she chose to ignore their comments. On Monday night, the situation escalated when the complainant approached the accused after he had used abusive language against her. A couple intervened and brought the situation under control, after which the family sought medical treatment at the civic hospital. Numerous cases of harassment involving dog owners or individuals providing care to stray dogs have come to light as the population of dogs on the streets has grown, coinciding with an increase in reported dog attack incidents.

In a recent horrific incident, a man's leg was severely injured when he fell victim to a vicious attack by a Pitbull dog in Solapur, Maharashtra. According to reports, the man is under medical supervision and is in critical condition.
