Mumbai, July 14: In a first such incident, an unidentified man made a video call to a woman scriptwriter on her Skype number and masturbated before her. The incident took place on Friday. According to the woman, the man's face was not visible during the video call. He flashed and masturbated on screen, she alleged. Based on her complaint, an FIR has been registered against the unidentified man.

According to the woman, she was surprised when she received a call on her Skype number from an unidentified man who started masturbating in front of her. "I was at my Khar home when I got the Skype call at 4.21pm. I was unable to see the face of the person who was flashing and masturbating online. The scriptwriter immediately tweeted to Mumbai Police, informing them about the incident. She was asked to visit Khar police station to file an FIR. On Saturday, she filed a complaint. "Thanks for your help everyone, especially @MumbaiPolice," she tweeted. "This is the first such case registered against a person who flashed and masturbated online. Usually, we get complaints about such incidents occurring on the road," a police officer said.

The cyber crime team of Mumbai Police will join the investigation to trace the contact number of the accused. A case has been registered under section 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of Indian Penal Code and also under section 67 (publishing or transmitting obscene material in electronic form) of the Information Technology Act against the unknown person.
