Mumbai Shocker: Drunk Girls, Who Attacked and Abused Patrolling Cops, Held, One Absconding

Three out of the four girls, who are reportedly in their 20’s, have been arrested while the search for the fourth is currently underway. The girls have been identified as Mamta Meher (25), Alisha Pillai (23), Kamal Shrivastava (22) and Jessi D'Costa (22).

Mumbai, October 3: In a shocking incident, four girls who were drunk reportedly after a night out party, have been booked for allegedly attacking cops and creating nuisance in Bhayander on Tuesday. According to a report by TOI, the drunk girls attacked the policepersons who were trying to calm them down after all the four got into a tiff. Three out of the four girls, who are reportedly in their 20’s, have been arrested while the search for the fourth is currently underway.

The girls have been identified as Mamta Meher (25), Alisha Pillai (23), Kamal Shrivastava (22) and Jessi D'Costa (22). The three girls have been remanded by Police while the search for D'Costa is currently going on.

The four girls have been booked under the Indian Penal Code's sections 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of duty), 332 (voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from duty) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace), the report said. Police informed that their medical tests have confirmed they were drunk. The incident took place when the girls got into an argument and started making noise. The girls, after several rounds of drinks at a party at Mira Road the girls reached Shahid Bhagatsingh Ground near Maxus Mall, Bhayander, around 2 AM looking for more drinks. Mumbai: Five School Girls Go Missing After Poor Show in Exam; Four Located.

After hearing the noise, the policepersons on night patrol reached the spot and a woman officer who was part of the patrol, assistant inspector Manisha Patil, tried to pacify the fighting girls. To this, the girl gang started abusing and began attacking the patrol. The chaos was captured by onlookers on their mobile phones and went viral on social media. In the video it was found that the girls were abusing the cops and were telling the woman officer to pull out her baton. As the female cop started canning them, D'Costa managed to flee.
