Kanjurmarg, May 18: A deeply unsettling case of cyber harassment has come to light in Mumbai’s Kanjurmarg, where a man posing as a police officer attempted to fraudulently obtain a minor girl’s phone number. When the girl’s father refused, the accused sent him morphed nude images of his daughter. The call was later traced back to a boy from the girl’s college.
According to Indian Express, the complainant, a 50-year-old man, received a message on May 2 from an unknown number. The sender, identifying herself as Mokshada Patil from the Cyber Crime office in Kanjurmarg, even proposed marriage to the man. She later warned him of a potential cyber attack on his daughter’s phone and shared a number for guidance.
