Mumbai, October 8: In a shocking incident in Mumbai, an 18-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by two in the city recently, thus raising the issue of the safety of women once again. Police officials said that the teenage girl was allegedly raped by the two accused after she was spiked with a drink. After the incident came to light, a case was registered in connection with the incident at Nirmal Nagar police station.
According to a report in FPJ, the accused allegedly made the girl sit in the car after assuring the victim of dropping her off at her uncle's house. After the girl sat in the car, the accused gave a sedative drink to the victim from a water bottle, which led the girl to lose consciousness. After the young woman fell unconscious, the accused raped her. Following the alleged rape, the two accused threatened to kill the victim if she complained. The incident came to light after a case was registered at Nirmal Nagar Police Station. Acting on the complaint, the police arrested a 31-year-old accused. Meanwhile, they have launched a manhunt to nab the second accused, who is at large.
In a separate incident in Mumbai's neighbouring Thane, a woman and her two relatives were booked for allegedly assaulting a couple after a dispute over her minor son thrashing the couple's child. The alleged incident occurred on October 6 in the Daighar area. The accused woman's six-year-old son allegedly beat up and kicked the couple's 2-year-old, residing in their neighbourhood without any reason.
