Mumbai, April 29: The Mumbai police on Monday arrested a man in his thirties for allegedly molesting women in Juhu and Khar. The accused, identified as Nitin Bharadwaj, a resident of Malad, was booked for allegedly making vulgar gestures at college students and passersby while riding his bike between Juhu and Khar, reported mid-day. Mumbai Woman Chops Off Molester’s Genital in Dombivali, Rushes Him to Hospital.

"Bharadwaj used to target women and students near malls, gyms and other public areas along the Santacruz-Juhu-Khar stretch. The action was taken after multiple complaints were filed for the same offence. To arrest the molester, a team was formed under supervision of DCP (Deputy Commissioner of Police) Paramjit Singh Dahiya and after working for 90 days, the accused was finally arrested.

According to police, the case became difficult as the accused used to change his number plate whenever he travelled between Malad and Juhu. Meanwhile, the accused has been arrested under relevant sections of Indian Penal Code and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) act.
