Mumbai, July 11: Three days after the BMW hit-and-run case involving Shiv Sena leader Rajesh Shah's son Mihir Shah, another similar incident has come to light in Mumbai. A youth on a sports bike tragically died after crashing into a car in Vasai area on July 10. The car's driver, Tarun Pandey, who is the son of a BJP official from Nalasopara, rushed the injured victim to the hospital. However, unfortunately, the victim was declared dead. Tarun Pandey, who was driving the car, has been arrested.
According to a report by the Times of India, the victim, identified as Amit Saini, was a resident of Fatherwadi in Vasai. Saini was on his sports bike with his helmet on. In an attempt to overtake Pandey's car from the left, he hit the car's front bumper and crashed in a nearby field. Pandey stopped his car, got out and, with the assistance of two bystanders, rushed the injured to Cardinal Gracious Hospital, where he was declared dead. After the incident, a case was registered against Pandey on Tuesday, July 9. Police also seized his car. The car is reportedly in the name of his father, Prakash Pandey. Further investigation is underway.
