Mumbai, July 10: Maharashtra Education Minister Vinod Tawde tweeted saying that he has instructed the Deputy Director to ensure that the schools in Thane and Palghar district remain closed as the weather continues to remain erratic and heavy rainfall continues to persist in the area. The Education Minister also said in his tweet that in Mumbai, the school and college principles are instructed to take the call as per their judgement and depending upon the waterlogging in their area. Here is the tweet by the education minister:

Mumbai, Raigad, Thane and Palghar have been receiving heavy rainfall for the past three days. Mumbai locals have also been affected due to the rains and are running late. Weather agency SkyMet Weather tweeted saying that heavy to very heavy rains can be expected in the next 24 hours in Mumbai.
