Mumbai, January 23: In a sensational case of murder and killing, body parts of a person were found in the septic tank of an upmarket residential building in Mumbai's Virar. Mumbai: Rajasthan Girl’s Body Found in Malad’s Mind Space, 20-Year-Old Student Held for Murder.

After the complaints, when the police reached the spot and opened the septic tank, they found tiny body parts floating in the tank, according to the Times of India.

The police collected the parts in a plastic bag, said the reports. The police then also found body parts in a nullah behind the building. The police have also recovered a thumb, and a finger with a ring.

The police suspect that the murderer must have dumped the body parts early in the morning. The suspicion and evidence points to a person who knows the area well. The police also claimed that the murder could have probably taken place in  one of the four vacant flats in C wing. The police have launched an investigation in the case.
