The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's Disaster Management Team has introduced a new application where Mumbaikars can report for any emergency support. Citizens can now register complaints to authorities using Disaster Management (MCGM) App.
Mumbai, June 11: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's Disaster Management Team has introduced a new application where Mumbaikars can report for any emergency support. Citizens can now register complaints to authorities using Disaster Management (MCGM) App. To use the app one has to download it from play store and log in before viewing it. Along with Disaster Management (MCGM) App, the BMC has introduced a helpline number '1916' for any emergency situations. "Any emergency situation or flooding problems should be updated on the control room numbers," a BMC official said. To avoid any monsoon-related obstructions to its coastal road project, the BMC has introduced contact information of several officials and engineers who will take responsibility and will be present at the spot for a prompt response.

Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has also set up a 24x7 control room for the monsoon, which would be monitored by MMRDA engineer and personnel. MMRDA has introduced toll-free helpline numbers 26594176, 26591241, 1800228801 and 8657402090 during an emergency.
