Mumbai, Sep 2: A monorail train had to be stopped between Chembur and VN Purav Marg stations on Sunday after wires of TV cable network got entangled. Following the incident, officials of Fire Brigade were called who later cut the cable wires. "Monorail was put back to normal service at 4:40 pm," authorities said.
Notably, monorail services between Chembur and Wadala resumed on Saturday, nearly ten months after a coach caught fire on the line, leading to a suspension of operations.
On November 9, 2017, two coaches of the monorail caught fire at Mysore Colony Station. Since then, the services were suspended to fix the issues. No casualties were reported in the incident.
