A 20-year-old model was murdered in Mumbai by a young student she had befriended on the internet. The victim, Mansi Dixit, hailed from Rajasthan and had come to Mumbai to try her luck in acting. The accused, Muzammil Sayyed, a 19-year-old boy from Hyderabad, has been arrested by the Mumbai police for murdering Mansi Dixit.
According to the police, the accused Muzammil Sayyed first hit Mansi Dixit with a blunt object on the head and then strangled her to death. After killing Dixit, Muzammil Sayyed stuffed the body of the victim in a suitcase to dispose it off. Reports said that the two had met at Sayyed’s apartment in Andheri on Monday. The police said that they had an heated argument following which Sayyed attacked Mansi.
The Bangur Nagar police, Goregaon, said that Sayyed hired a private cab and took the body to Mindspace, Malad. He dumped the body in the thick mangroves cover, which surrounds the Mindspace area in Malad. What proved to be his undoing was the cab driver's alertness.
The cab driver, sensed that something was wrong and waited even after Sayyed dumped the suitcase that had Dixit's body inside it. Sayyed reportedly tried to hire a rickshaw after dumping the suitcase, something that the cab driver noticed as he was still with his vehicle at the spot. He then called the police and reported about the incident. Check the police officer's comment in the tweet below
