Mumbai May Soon Get London Eye-Like Ferris Wheel at Bandra Reclamation, Says Ajit Pawar
The state government plans to build the Ferris wheel at a vacant plot in Bandra Reclamation, provided if there are no coastal regulatory zone issues. The project will get implemented by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA)
Mumbai, January 16:The financial capital may soon get its own Ferris wheel observatory, like the one in London to enable tourists to have a bird's eye view of Mumbai. According to a Hindustan Times report, Deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar said, "The state is planning to build “Mumbai Eye”, a giant Ferris wheel, at Bandra Reclamation."
He further said that the plan was discussed in the Cabinet on Wednesday and it received a green signal from all the ministers. Reportedly, the slow-moving ferris wheel will have enclosed capsules, where people can sit and enjoy the view of the surrounding area.
