Mumbai: Man Arrested for Allegedly Filming a Video of Female Commuter in Andheri Railway Station

A 45-year-old man from Palghar district on Tuesday was arrested after he was caught filming a woman passenger in Andheri Railway station.

Mumbai, January 9: A 45-year-old man from Palghar district on Tuesday was arrested after he was caught filming a woman passenger in Andheri Railway station. The arrested was allegedly filming woman's video on his cellphone, reported Mumbai Mirror. Initially, the woman, an advertising professional, found the man pretending to talk on his phone while roaming around her. As she moved the accused started moving around her. Mumbai: 65-Year-Old Businessman Molests Woman on Delhi-Mumbai Flight.

When the woman was sure she was followed by the accused. She asked help from a young man, however, he refused. Later, she took the matter in her own hands and snatched the cellphone from accused. The alert Government Railway Police (GRP) personnel nearby intervened into the matter and detained the man.

The man was identified as Bhushan Naik, a resident of Nallasopara. Along with the video of the complainant in Naik's phone, police found similar videos of other women passengers too. A case has been registered against him under section 509 (insult the modesty of a woman) and Section 354 (C) of Indian Penal Code.
