Mumbai, May 22: Thousands of commuters had to face difficulties during rush hours after local trains were disrupted on the Western Line due to a technical glitch at Goregaon station on Wednesday morning. Local train services remained affected for about 45 minutes on the Western Line. It was restored at 7:50 am.
A technical glitch was reported in signalling at Goregaon station at 7:05 am, disrupting normal movement of local trains on the Western Line. The Western Railway deployed its engineers for a repair work which was completed in 45 minutes. Services resumed at 7:50 am.
"Trains will be delayed for some time due to this. Inconveniencies deeply regretted," the Western Railway said in a tweet.
On Tuesday, commuters in the national capital had a harrowing time during the morning rush hours as the services on the Yellow Line of Delhi Metro were briefly suspended due to a technical snag. Around 5,000 had to be evacuated from stuck trains.
