Mumbai: Local Trains Delayed on Harbour Line During Peak Hours, Commuters Go Berserk

Commuters of Harbour line of the Mumbai locals became angry on Monday evening, when the services got disrupted for close to an hour, reportedly due to lack of electricity supply.

Mumbai, February 11: Mumbai local trains are known for its rush during the peak hours and the commuters traveling in these jam-packed trains are bound to suffer the pain. But the suffering increases with each minutes when the railway service gets affected. Same happened on Monday evening in the Harbour line of the Mumbai locals, when the services got disrupted for close to an hour, reportedly due to lack of electricity supply. Mumbai: Indian Railways All Set to Run Local Trains Between Khar Kopar and Uran by Year End. 

Though the trains were late or not plying for an hour, the Railway authorities did not gave the reason for the abrupt halt, which left the commuters frustrated. Due to this, many took to Twitter to register their grievances.

According to the report, the delay took place around 1745 hours, when the evening rush inches towards its peak traffic hours. With no trains for almost an hour plying on the Harbour line, more and more passengers assembled to the railway station, leading to overcrowding.
