Mumbai, June 18: Local train services on the Central line in Mumbai were delayed by nearly 25 minutes for the second consecutive day on Tuesday morning. Local trains running on the down line were disrupted during peak hours, causing inconvenience to hundreds of commuters. Travellers also complained of trains being halted for more than 10 minutes at Kalyan and Diva junctions.
All trains running on the Central line were affected during the rush hours, majorly between Kalyan and Ghatkopar railway stations. On Monday too, local trains on the Central Line were delayed during peak hours. The Central Railway CPRO informed that there was a signal issue on the down line before Kalyan station. An official said a local train was held up and slow services were diverted on the fast down line. Train services were badly hit on Monday evening, giving Mumbaikars a tough time. Commuters said they had a harrowing time reaching home after local trains were jam-packed and running late by over 45 mins. Travellers who usually take an hour to reach home, said they took over 2 hours for the journey.
