Mumbai Local Train Status: Central Line Delayed Due to Signal Issue Between Thakurli and Kalyan, Special Trains Running From Dombivli

The issue was reported between Thakurli and Kalyan on the Central Line. The Central Railway offocial said a local train was held up and slow services were diverted on fast downline.

Mumbai, June 17: Commuters travelling in local trains on the Central Line in Mumbai faced inconvenience on Monday as train services were delayed during peak hours. According to a tweet by ANI, the Central Railway CPRO informed that there was signal issue on the down-line before Kalyan station. The issue was reported  between Thakurli and Kalyan on the Central Line. The official said a local train was held up and slow services were diverted on fast downline. Mumbai: Indian Railways All Set to Run Local Trains Between Khar Kopar and Uran by Year End. 

The issue was however, rectified after some time. In a bid to avoid passenger rush, special services were run from Dombivli. The official informed that services are expected to be normal soon. Several commuters were left stranded at various railway stations after services on the Central Railway Line were affected during rush-hours.

The Central Railway also tweeted the rescheduled timing of the 22150 Pune-Ernakulam Express as it was delayed by over 10 hours. "22150 Pune-Ernakulam Express sch dep 1845 hrs on 16.6.2019 is RESCHEDULED at 0535 hrs on 17.6.2019 (Delay by 10 hours 50 minutes). Inconvenience caused is regretted", the tweet read.
