Ansari had boarded a Borivali slow local at Lower Parel, and another woman pushed her in the ribs and accused her off leaning too heavily on her. There was an argument and after it got escalated, Ansari wanted to take the bully to the Matunga station. However, she refused and bit her arm. The accused woman got off at Mahim and fled. Ansari later realised that during the confrontation, she lost her ruby ring worth Rs 9,000, which had fallen while the accused woman grabbed her arm. Police took her to Bhaba hospital for medical check-up and she lodged an FIR. It is a common scene in Mumbai local compartments, where commuters pick up small fights with passengers.
