Mumbai, March 1: In a shocking case reported from Maharashtra, the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) personnel has been arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for demanding sexual favours to reduce the property tax charged on house. According to the TOI report, Rajput was seeking sexual favours from the woman who has to pay more than Rs 1 lakh tax pending since 2013. When Rajput went to her house to confiscate the property, the woman requested him to extend the tax filing period and reduce the tax. The officer told her to visit his office. When she reached, he offered her solutions by demanding sexual favours, reported Times of IndiaCorporators Rough Up Pune Civic Officer in Mayor's Cabin.

Later, the woman approached the Anti-Corruption Bureau office, where, the officials told her to record Rajput's conversation. Soon after the woman provided evidence, Rajput was taken into police custody for further investigations.

Meanwhile, earlier last year, the Anti-Corruption Bureau had arrested two Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation officials for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe. The officials from BMC's N ward were arrested for taking the bribe of Rs 50,000 from a hotelier. The duo were arrested under the relevant sections of corruption.
