Mumbai, August 6:  A housing society chairman in Dahisar West has been booked for allegedly assaulting a society member during a dispute on Sunday, July 4. The altercation, which began over the resident's entry, quickly escalated into a physical confrontation. The 42-year-old victim filed a complaint against the 57-year-old chairman, accusing him of biting his thumb. An FIR has been registered under Section 117 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt), but the chairman has not been arrested.

According to the police, Aditya Desai, 42-year-old, who rents out his flat in Amarnath Cooperative Society in Dahisar West, has faced trouble because the building's watchman, following orders from chairman Nityanand Padiyal, locks the gate at night. This has caused Desai significant inconvenience, especially since his tenant returned home late, as reported by Hindustan Times. Uttar Pradesh Shocker: Man Bites Off Wife’s Thumb During Heated Argument in Pilibhit, Booked.
