Mumbai, September 28: A woman, her boyfriend and her sister have been arrested by the Mumbai police for reportedly torture and sexual assault of her own minor son. The complainant in this case is the father of the 13-year-old victim, who lodged a complaint with the police on Tuesday. The complainant alleged that the incidents occurred when the victim used to stay with his mother in Ghatkopar, the reports said.
The harrowing details of the crime are mentioned in the victim's diary. The boy, who was studying in class 3 then, used to live with his mother, 42, between October 2018 and May 2019. He revealed that his mother would bring her boyfriend, a 45-year-old man, and her sister, a 38-year-old, to their house. As per the victim, his mother would frequently assault him and even brand his arms and legs as “punishment” with a steel spatula. The reports said the man would sexually assault the boy in the presence of the other two accused. The police said that the victim was forced into oral sex, which led them to file a case under the offence of penetrative sexual assault, section 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. As per the victim's father, when the boy would resist, his other and her sister would punish him further. As per the reports, the boy's father lived in Murbad for work-related purposes when the crime occurred. The matter came to light when the boy moved with his father in Pune's Junnar. As per the complainant, he noticed changes in his boy's behaviour. When asked, the boy never revealed anything, apparently due to the fear of his mother, said his father. However, last week, he finally opened up and shared his ordeal with his father.
