Mumbai, August 31: An incident of murder has come to light from Mumbai, where a 43-year-old gym trainer allegedly killed a security supervisor in Bhandup. The alleged incident occurred on the evening of Tuesday, August 27, at Dreams Society in Bhandup. Police officials said that the accused was in an inebriated state when he banged the victim, Shivaji Barve's head, on a rock repeatedly.
According to a report in the Hindustan Times, the deceased man was working as a security supervisor at Dreams Society in Bhandup. The incident occurred on August 27 when the accused visited the society. It is learned that Barve asked the accused to identify himself and also the purpose of his visit. Fight Breaks Out Between Guards and Accused Over Latter's Visit
Following Barve's question, the accused identified himself as Vishal Eknath Gawde but did not reveal the purpose of his visit or whom he wanted to meet. The accused overpowered the guards and entered the society's compound. When Barve stopped the accused, who was allegedly drunk, he grabbed the victim's head and banged it on the wall repeatedly.

The victim sustained severe injuries and lost a lot of blood. Other security guards stopped the fight and alerted the police. They also informed Barve's son, Nilesh. Following this, the security supervisor was rushed to a nearby hospital. On Wednesday, August 28, Barve was shifted to KEM Hospital, where he was advised of an operation as he suffered a spine injury. However, he breathed his last on Thursday, August 29. The police booked and arrested the accused under various sections of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita. Later, he was booked for murder, too. Cops also found that before the COVID-19 pandemic, Gawde was employed as an instructor in the society's gym.
