A similar situation happened a week back, when there was a landslide due to the incessant rains, thus causing massive traffic on that route. The landslide had exposed the poor quality of construction work of the highway. On that day, traffic snarls were seen from the start of Karnala sanctuary (Mumbai) to Kalhe (Goa side).
