Chembur, August 25: In a shocking incident, a heated argument between two friends in Mumbai's Chembur turned violent after one of them stabbed the other in rage. According to a report by TOI, the two friends got into a fight over cutting vegetables in Chembur’s Mahul area, where they lived in a rented apartment. The RCF police informed that the victim was identified as Pappu Raj (35) and his friend, who stabbed him, was Vinod Tiwari (24).

The Police has arrested Tiwari and an investigation into the matter has been initiated. According to details by Police inform that Raj was stabbed several times on his face and neck and was sent to Rajawadi hospital in Ghatkopar.  After his health deteriorated, Raj was later shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Sion hospital.

According to a TOI report, the room in which the two stayed is shared by nine people in total in a Mhada colony. The report says that the room has been rented out by Vinod's father, Ram. “They are painters who work for civil contractors. Except for Vinod, a Mumbaikar, the others are from Sitapur, Lucknow. They came here in search of jobs and Vinod was helping them," a police officer was quoted in the TOI report.

On Friday, a similar incident was reported from Uttar Pradesh where an elder brother killed his younger brother for wearing his jeans without permission. According to a tweet by ANI, the incident took place in Tharwai village in Allahabad, and the culprit identified as Rajendra is on the run.
