Mumbai, November 24: A fire broke out in Mangaldas Market of Kalbadevi area of Mumbai on Saturday. Five fire tenders rushed to the spot. However, the reason behind the fire has not yet ascertained. There are no reports of any damage in the fire, however, more details are still awaited. It is the second incident of fire in a day in Maharashtra in the last 24 hours. According to reports, a major fire broke out at Adharwadi dumping ground in Kalyan (West) on Friday.

The fire was brought under control after six hours. Every day around 550 metric tonnes of waste dumped here every day into this 15 acres of the dumping ground. The Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) has been struggling to manage the waste. The corporation is looking for an alternative place. On November 14, two persons died in a fire that broke out at a house in the 21-storey Kadam Nagar SRA chawl in Andheri West, including a seven-year-old boy who succumbed to his burn along with his uncle. To recall, a total of fourteen persons were killed and several others injured when a fire broke out at the Mojo's Bistro and 1 Above pub at Kamala Mills in central Mumbai on December 29, 2017.
