Mumbai, December 29: A major fire broke out in an under construction building near Mumbai's Kamala Mills compound on Saturday. According to a tweet by ANI, a total of five fire tenders have been rushed at the spot. No casualties have been reported so far. More details awaited. The incident brought back bitter memories of the devastating blaze at the Mojo's Bistro and 1 Above pub at Kamala Mills on the same day last year. On 29th December 2017, a deadly fire at the Kamala Mills compound had claimed 14 lives and injured several others were critically injured. The massive fire swept through two roof-top pubs, Mojo's Bistro and 1 Above, located in Kamala Mills Compound in central Mumbai.

According to reports, the Mumbai Fire Brigade, in its preliminary probe report informed that the blaze possibly started at Mojo’s Bistro due to the flying embers of a hookah. The owners of the pub were booked under IPC sections 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder), 337 (causing hurt by an act endangering life or personal safety of others) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention).
