Mumbai, December 27: A major fire broke out in Mumbai's Ghatkopar area near Sakinaka on Friday. As many as 15 fire tenders were rushed to the spot, said reports. Thick black plumes of smoke was seen emanating from the fire spot. Initial reports said that flight operations were affected due to the plumes of smoke as the airport is close to the factory where fire broke out. However, the flight operation has not been affected, reported news agency ANI. No casualty has been reported so far. The fire has been identified as Level 3 fire and reportedly broke out at a factory in Ghatkopar.

This is the second incident of fire within a week in Mumbai. The massive fire that broke out in Mumbai's Vile Parle West area in Labh Shrivalli building on Sunday evening, December 22, was brought under control after more than an hour of fire fighting. No casualty or loss of live was reported from that fire.
