Mumbai, December 27: A massive fire was reported in a godown on Dongri Jail Road in Mumbai's Bhendi Bazaar on Sunday evening. At least four fire tenders were rushed to the site to douse off the flames. No casualties were reported by the time this report was first published. The fire, categorised as "Level-2", erupted at a godown in Bhendi Bazar, an area between Mohammed Ali Road and Khetwadi, a suburb in Mumbai. Mumbai: Under-Construction Building Collapses in Goregaon; Three Killed, Eight Injured.

Earlier in a similar incident, a fire at Andheri's ESIC Kamgar Hospital claimed 11 lives. An inquiry has been launched into the tragic accident, with the civic body assuring to fix accountability for the deaths. Another fire was reported on December 24, when a blaze broke out in shanties near Malwani area of Malad, Mumbai.
