Mumbai, August 27: A fire broke out at a Maharashtra guest house at Iqbal Mansion, near Premier Talkies in Mumbai's Parel area on Monday. According to reports, the guest house is right opposite to Crystal Tower, where a massive fire killed four people earlier this week. A total of four fire tenders have been rushed to the spot. More details awaited. No casualties or damage to property has been reported so far. It must be noted that the incident comes days after a massive level-3 fire broke out on the 12th floor of the 17-storey Crystal Tower building near Hindmata Cinema in Parel.
The builder, Abdul Razak Ismail Supariwala, was arrested by the Bhoiwada police, hours after the broke out on the 12th floor of the posh Crystal Tower building. Dr Avinash N Supe, KEM Hospital Dean was quoted as saying by ANI saying that total 20 victims were brought to KEM Hospital, of which 4 were brought dead, 1 senior citizen female and 3 male.

A case of culpable homicide was registered against the developer of the building, Abdul Razak Ismail Supariwala. He was subsequently arrested, said an officer from Bhoiwada police station. Deputy Commissioner of Police N Ambika informed that the developer has been booked under IPC sections 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder), 336 (Act endangering life or personal safety of others), 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others), 338 (causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others).
