Mumbai, September 10: A molestation suspect was fined Rs 10,000 by a sessions court for writing in his response to a magistrate's court order, "God knows or heaven knows who has appointed such a cheater person as Magistrate." The sessions court took a tough stance against the wordings, claiming that the phrase "cheater person" was highlighted on purpose and that using such disparaging language against the trial court called for a strict interpretation. Judge AA Joglekar stated last week, "I am of the opinion that the applicant in person is required to be saddled with such exemplary costs."

The judge rejected nine further similar requests from the defendants and assessed costs of Rs 10,000 for each one. The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) will require the accused to pay a fine of Rs. 1 lakh. The Bhoiwada magistrate's court will hear the case against the defendant. HC Fine Over Fake Rape Charge: Allahabad High Court Slaps Rs 10,000 Fine on Woman Who Filed False Rape Case Against Man and Later Married Him.

The magistrate's recording of the day's events involving a witness' testimony on November 8, 2021 was criticised by the accused. The magistrate had also expressed displeasure with the accused's actions. In 2022, the accused filed a motion with the sessions court in protest of the magistrate's silence. The accused personally went before the sessions court and claimed that the magistrate made false accusations by misusing the facts of the case and his authority.

He said that on November 8, 2021, he asked the magistrate to defer the case but that he refused and used profane language in the process. Additionally, the accused claimed that the magistrate had not uploaded the full ruling. The accused thus sought for the ruling from November 8, 2021, to be set aside and quashed. Finland Millionaire Slapped With Over Rs 1 Crore Fine for Driving 30 Kmph Over Speed Limit.

The prosecution refuted the accusations and said that the accused's amendment request was excessively disrespectful. The sessions court judge ruled that the accused's request for reversion was not maintainable since there was no evidence of an order in the substance of the day's proceedings from the magistrate court.
