Mumbai, August 1: Five policemen have been suspended for celebrating the birthday of a suspect at Bhandup police station last week. According to a Times of India report, a probe has been launched against the accused officers. The night police inspector is also being investigated for poor control and supervision. The video of the suspect identified as Ayaan khan birthday celebration went viral last week, where he was seen cutting the cake and offering it to the police officers. A police official quoted in the report said, the cops must have demanded a cake, and that is the reason Ayaan Khan had the audacity to celebrate his birthday at a police station. In order to send across a strong message, the cops involved in this incident have been suspended.

The clip showed police and other people singing "Happy birthday" song while Khan cuts the cake. A cop in his uniform is also seen feeding it to Khan. Khan had two previous offences of kidnapping and assault against him.
