Mumbai Congress Worker Manoj Dubey Hacked to Death in Ghatkopar Over Facebook Dispute, 3 BJP Workers Arrested

Mumbai, October 22: In a shocking incident from Ghatkopar, Manoj Dubey, a Congress worker, was allegedly murdered over a Facebook post. The incident took place near the Asalpha metro station in Mumbai when Manoj was attacked with a sword and other sharp weapons. After sustaining heavy injuries he was rushed to Rajawadi hospital in a critical condition but was declared brought dead.

The Sakinaka police have arrested some BJP Yuva Morcha activist in connection with the case. According to the sources, Manoj shared a post on Facebook saying that Congress will form a government in 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The post got some harsh comments from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Bajrang Dal workers which led to a debate between them and ended with the murder. Congress Councillor Shot Dead in Amritsar by unknown assailants.

Police have started their investigation and arrested Sunil Dubey, Umesh Singh, Akash Sharma of BJP Yuva Morcha in connection with the case. Earlier in September, Youth Congress leader Arun Kumar from Yelahanka, Bangalore was hacked to death by four assailants. The accused had hit him with sharp weapons in an attempt to kill him. After the assailant's fled from the spot, Akash was rushed to the hospital where he was declared brought dead.
