Mumbai, June 28: The chartered plane crash that took place in Mumbai on Thursday took away five lives and two are seriously injured. Among the casualties caused was the pilot Captain Maria, who was flying the flight. Maria's husband, P Kuthariya, has blamed the aviation company saying that Maria had told the company about the danger involved in flying the flight due to the bad weather but was still told to fly. The pilot's husband has said that the incident could have been averted.

"The incident could have been averted. Maria had told me that the flight won't be flown due to bad weather. The aviation company is responsible for this unfortunate incident" said P Kuthariya, husband of pilot killed in chartered plane crash in Mumbai, while talking to news agency ANI:

The plane crashed near Jagruti building in Ghatkopar near an under construction building. Five people have died in the crash out of which one is being reported to be a pedestrian. The plane was supposed to land at Mumbai's Juhu airport.

The fire brigade teams were rushed to the spot. Due to the plane crash, a fire erupted in the area in Ghatkopar. Reports inform that the plane belonged to Uttar Pradesh government and the aircraft was VT-UPZ, KING AIR C90. Some reports also say that the aircraft was owned by Pan Parag owner Deepak Kothari. It is reported that the plane crashed near the telephone exchange at Ghatkopar west area.

The people living near the locality of the crash have said that there is Liberty Oil tank just near the crash site which could have proved disastrous and have appreciated pilot Pradeep Singh Rajput and Maria's presence of mind. They are all saluting the brave pilots whose decision might have helped avoid a huge tragedy in Mumbai.
