When the train crossed Kalva railway station, few unidentified attackers threw chilli power at the motor man's cabin and fleed away. Singh was relieved by railway officials at Kalyan station and was taken to the hospital for treatment. After medication, Singh was allowed to go home. Meanwhile, on the same day, Train services in the western lines were severely disrupted as the protestors blocked railway tracks at Nallasopara railway station protesting against the Pulwama terrorism attack.
