A 19-year-old boy in Mumbai went through a five-hour ordeal, on Monday, when his mobile phone fell into the Indian toilet. Answering nature’s call proved too costly for the teenager whose hand was stuck in the Indian-style lavatory for five hours, as he tried to recover his dropped cell phone. The situation saw fire brigade officials being called to the boy’s rescue.

Rohit Rajbhar, a college student, faced an unprecedented situation after his mobile phone fell in the toilet. As soon as it landed, the teenager inserted his hand in it to recover it. However, he was not able to. Little did he know that the steel kada that he was wearing would get stuck inside it and it would need the whole set of rescue operations to his relief.

The incident happened at 8 am in the morning; the boy and his family members were trying to take his hand out of it, but miserably failed to. At 10 am, fire brigade officials were called in. The ordeal didn’t end there either, as the officials weren’t able to help him pull his hand out from it.

It was then decided that they will have to break the walls of the toilet to pull the youth’s hand out. After 3 hours of their arrival, the fire brigade officials were finally able to pull his hand out of the Indian-styled toilet. Raj Bhardwaj, Rajbhar’s brother-in-law, said that he was trying to save the Android mobile his family had given to him.

RB Ghadge, one of the fire brigade officials, said that the boy was wearing a steel kada which got stuck in the toilet too. The teenager was conscious all the while, and we were asking him to remain calm throughout. The doctors said that there was nothing to worry as there were no severe injuries on the teen’s hand after it was stuck for nearly five hours.
