Mumbai, July 26: The heavy showers in Mumbai has affected the normal functioning at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (MIAL). "Flights are delayed by 30 minutes on average, due to heavy rains since last 2 hours," said Mumbai Airport PRO in a statement. Meanwhile, heavy to very heavy rainfall is predicted in Mumbai, Thane, Palghar and Raigad districts of Maharashtra from July 27 to July 28. Mumbai and Thane may receive rainfall between 64.5 millimetres and 204.4 millimetres till Sunday.
“Rainfall in last 24 hrs at morning 6.30 am today in Mumbai and around. Few stations reported heavy rainfall in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. Rest it was moderate as expected. Today watch for more rains," said IMD official.
