Mumbai, January 3: In a tragic case, a 40-year-old woman committed suicide by jumping off a building in Kandivali West area. According to an ANI update, a case has been registered and an investigation is underway. Police are probing the matter. More details on this case are awaited. The woman was declared dead before she could get admitted to the hospital.

According to a Mumbai Mirror report, the woman used to live with her mother and had recently lost her job. Police suspect loss of her job could have driven her to take this extreme step. In a similar shocking incident last month, a 32-year-old driver from Uttar Pradesh, Bateshwar Trilok Tiwari shot himself after he had plans of killing his own sister Vandana, 22, and her husband Rohit Singh, 27, in a premeditated plan, and fired two rounds at them on Monday night, said police. The couple managed to run away, but he shot himself in the head.
