Mumbai, November 2: Unable to cope with the relentless threats from former colleagues, 22-year-old Chandreshkumar Tiwari tragically died by suicide by hanging himself to death at his home in Malad East, Mumbai. Tiwari, who had recently changed jobs, posted an Instagram video explaining he felt harassed by three former colleagues who allegedly threatened to ruin his career prospects in the city. Following the discovery of his body, a case has been registered against the accused individuals for abetment to suicide.
According to a report by the Free Press Journal, Tiwari had recently transitioned from Tata Play to Airtel as a senior sales executive. After leaving his previous job, he began receiving threats from his former colleagues, Sadanand Kadam, Paresh Shetty (manager), and Deepak Vishwakarma. These individuals allegedly warned him they would ensure he could not find employment in Mumbai, leading to immense pressure and anxiety for Tiwari. The Times of India reported that Tiwari's family was out of town when he took sick leave and remained alone at his residence. After being unable to reach him, his brother Pawan enlisted the help of their maternal uncle to check on Tiwari. Upon forcing entry into his home, they discovered his body hanging and immediately rushed him to Shatabdi Hospital, where he was declared dead. The emotional weight of the situation was compounded by the family’s inability to support him during this distressing time. In light of these events, the police have filed an FIR against the three accused under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including abetment to suicide. The investigation is ongoing as authorities seek to hold those responsible accountable for their actions.
