Kandivali, November 28: In a shocking incident for Mumbai, a 13-year old girl collapsed on stage while performing a dance performance during an event organised by Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) at Kandivali west on Tuesday. The girl was identified as Manisha Sharma, a student of Class 7, was rushed to the hospital where she was declared dead on arrival, reported Times of India. Doctors said that the cause of death can be ascertained only after a post-mortem on Wednesday.

The event 'CM Chashak' was organised by BJP corporator Kamlesh Yadav in Kandivali's Ekta Nagar. In the video, Manisha barely performed for less than one minute when she lost consciousness and collapsed on stage. According to reports, the organizers said students from different schools were invited to participate in the event. The event began at 5 pm and the participant who was going to perform at number three was taking some time to get ready, so the girl volunteered to go first, said Times Now. Meanwhile, family and police are waiting for an autopsy report. The event 'CM Chashak' is a cultural program which is sought to boost sports and cultural ecosystem in Maharashtra.
