Mumbai: 10 People Injured in Cylinder Blast at Jogeshwari West

In a tragic incident, 10 people were reported injured in a cylinder blast on Tuesday at Hanuman chawl in Mumbai’s Jogeshwari West. All the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Mumbai, May 21: In a tragic incident, 10 people were reported injured in a cylinder blast on Tuesday at Hanuman Chawl in Mumbai’s Jogeshwari West. All the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. "At least ten people have sustained burns. They were shifted to a nearby hospital and five of them were discharged after preliminary treatment," he said. Fire Brigade personnel managed to douse the blaze by 9:15 pm, he said, adding that the cause of the fire was being ascertained.

Earlier this month, a 57-year-old fireman was killed in a cylinder blast in Mumbai’s Kalyan area. The fireman died after the cylinder exploded at a shop in Kalyan. One other firefighter was severely injured in the incident.
