New Delhi, July 12: After former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), there are speculations that ex-captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is also joining the saffron cadre. BJP leader and former Union minister Sanjay Paswan has made a claim that Dhoni will soon become a part of 'Team Narendra Modi'. According to Paswan, the conversations are going on and if all goes well then MS Dhoni will join BJP after retirement. Speaking to a private news channel, Paswan has claimed that he has met Dhoni several times in connection with joining BJP. Paswan said that through the medium of cricket, he has served the country a lot and now Dhoni is going to come into politics for the service of the society and the country. Paswan, however, has made it clear that Dhoni has not given a final call on joining BJP. Significantly, before the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP launched a campaign called 'Sampark Se Samarthan' (Contact for Support), under which BJP national president Amit Shah met also Dhoni and other celebrities.
