Patna, August 25: In a shocking incident, a man from Bihar's Motihari swallowed a bunch of keys, two nail cutters, and a knife after his family denied him permission to play an online mobile game, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). The incident occurred following an argument with his family. The man was operated and is in stable condition now.

According to a report published by Aaj Tak, initially, the man appeared fine despite swallowing the items. However, his condition worsened after a few hours, prompting his family to rush him to a private hospital in Motihari. Dr Amit Kumar, who operated on the man, stated that the surgery lasted one and a half hours, during which all the swallowed items were successfully removed. "He had swallowed a bunch of keys, a single key, two nail cutters, and a knife in anger after being denied permission to play video games. The young man, a graduation student and former school topper, reportedly suffers from mental health issues. According to his parents, he was addicted to video games, which led to his confused state. Despite his behaviour, he is described as well-behaved and academically accomplished. The man is currently stable and recovering from the surgery.
