Bhopal, July 3: Monsoon on Wednesday finally knocked the doors of Madhya Pradesh, as rains lashed the state capital bringing respite from the heat. It was predicted by the Indian Meteorological Department that heavy to moderate rains would drench southern part of Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday.
Though the monsoon this time is late by over a week, it has been predicted that the rainfall in Madhya Pradesh would be more than average. Informing more, IMD's scientist Ajay Shukla said, as news agency ANI quoted, "Monsoon has arrived in almost the entire Madhya Pradesh today except for Gwalior and Chambal division. Prediction is that monsoon will cover the entire state within the next 2 days."
The change in weather comes after the weather warning which stated that the incessant rains would resume in Mumbai after the afternoon and would continue till July 5.
