Monkey Menace Continues in Agra: Woman Went to Relieve Herself in Field, Attacked

In a yet another incident, a 59-year-old woman bled to death after she was attacked by a group of monkeys.

Agra, November 15: In a yet another incident, a 59-year-old woman bled to death after she was attacked by a group of monkeys. The incident took place in outskirts of Agra on Wednesday night at 11:30 pm. She was severely bitten by monkeys that she fell to the ground and could move due to the injuries. The deceased, identified as Bhoran Devi, had gone to relieve herself in the open field when the incident occurred. Agra: Monkey Snatches Infant From Breastfeeding Mother, Kills Him.

After the locals found her motionless she was taken to the hospital, but she succumbed to injuries due to profusely bleeding. Police officials while speaking to Times of India said that the victim could have survived if she had been taken to a better hospital. According to the investigation, the woman sustained critical injuries but died due to heavy bleeding. The victim was receiving medical treatment in private clinic and didn't get adequate treatment there, he further added.

The menace of monkeys are on a rise from last few days, earlier on Monday, a monkey snatched an infant baby from her mother as she was breastfeeding and killed him, the incident was reported in Runkata area in Agra's outskirt. The deceased was just 12-days-old, identified as Arush. Locals chased the monkey who left Arush on neighbour's house. The minor was rushed to hospital but died due to excessive bleeding.
